Hello again. (This section started with a “hi.”) I’ve worked in highly-regulated industries since 2009, so I’ve got a few years of experience fitting square pegs into holes that regulators describe as “round.” Not to brag or tell tales out of school, but I’ve accomplished some stuff I’m really proud of. Rung up multi-million dollar savings in complex insurance and personal injury settlement negotiations. Launched first-in-market cannabis products and services. Set multiple small business on the path towards good governance. Got really good at sudoku.

I take a systemic approach to the governance, risk, and compliance landscape. Some systems can be optimized; others, exploited. My strength is identifying those exploitable circumstances, outlining the path to be walked, calling out the risks and challenges, and enjoying those successes from behind the scenes.

I say “behind the scenes” because I don’t want to be a rock star, parading around the stage with any number of complicated scarves and a devil-may-care sense of hygiene. No, I’d rather be your audio engineer: using inscrutable equipment to make a bunch of dubiously sober musicians sound like the official soundtrack to Heaven Itself. But instead of a concert, it’s your business, and I’m doing all the boring law-adjacent stuff. And that’s my pitch.

Beyond my career accolades and work habits, I get to share my life with the greatest joys a person could ask for: three smart and kind children, three technically sentient cats, and a Nintendo Switch 2.
